Between January and March 2026, I’ve been to as many different groups as I can, both online and face to face. They have been added to my spreadsheet with notes on what the benefits are for me. (Yes, I really do have a spreadsheet which has stopped me making impulse decisions and bankrupting myself before I’ve really started
)
Key learnings
My main takeaway is that different groups work for different people and for different reasons. The common theme though is that networking is about making connections and fostering long term relationships. Some of these have potential to turn into business or referrals, others will keep you sane in the moments when you wonder ‘why am I doing this’.

The wonderful Sue Crooks and Julie Cameron made it an easy decision to join LoveBiz Networking® UK Limited. Their F2F and online meetings have the right amount of structure and free-flow that works for me. Plus, the time they took to get to know me was so helpful when I first started networking. It can be really daunting when you first go to these meetings and they both made it so much easier and more comfortable.
I honestly feel that I will make lasting connections at this group that will have multiple benefits as I navigate through self employment.
